I know what you mean, might look into it and do some measuring and see if the filter fits along side the engine cover.

Well its certainly different :D, I'm liking the heat sheild, its very like the jabba one but it looks sweet any pics of it off the car so us peeps can see whats invloved in it.


P.S that bend in the silicon pipe from the filter to the MAF ain't gonna help with you airflow readings.

How come the 45degree bend in the hose after the filter could cause problems? its not kinked its a proper bend.

its a modified s3 cover, there £75 from audi, and like hens teethe to find used, you also need the washer bottle off the s3 5l version

It has been suggested and recommended by most companies that tune these engines that a bend in the tubing to the MAF can cause the MAF to misread the airflow, if your MAF misreads airflow it can lead to other problems like fueling being off.

I can see the logic in i guess. if you think about it the bend with cause the airflow to go to the outer part of the bend and not be read correctly.
