Hi all, finally picked up my Leon on Saturday after a six month wait. In the end, I think it was well worth it is an absolute joy. As I never driven such a powerful car before, I was afraid that I will not be able to control it and that I'll hit the first tree. However, it's far from hard to drive - it's actually quite easy and behaves like any other car until you put your foot down. And when you do... oh the joy, oh the rainbows, oh the music!! Truly amazing. Must say that going from my old Volvo 480 Turbo to this is a huge jump, as you would've expected

The Mystery Blue is quite nice (I think I like the old blue a bit more as it's lighter) and the sunroof makes all the difference, brightens up the entire cabin. The only regret is I didn't go for the Seat Sound pack... would've been nice :(

Lovely car mate - it's a great colour for a sunny day. Enjoy every minute of it, as I'm sure you will.

Very nice! The colour looks even better with the dark sun roof against the dark mirrors and wheels!

Spot on, you're so right! And the tinted back windows are cool too.

Oh the wait, the hardest bit :) Hang in there mate and think about the big smile you'll have when you'll drive it :)

Thats a great colour choice!

Thanks, wasn't expecting to like it, but it's nice.

Cheers! And well said, for a sunny day. Dust does stick to it - will have to wash it more often than I washed the old Volvo (once in 2 years).

I've got the same as you arriving tomorrow!! Cant wait!!

Tomorrow is today! Did you get it?

Enjoy !! :):)

Thanks a lot! I loved the old blue as it was lighter, but this one definitely has its charm.

Did your 300 come with the black rear spoiler deflector/skirt as standard or have you added these on?

It's the standard car except for the sunroof. I haven't added anything else, haven't ever seen or driven the car before I got it :) It's all on the internet these days...

Talking of which, had a long weekend in Cambridge, managed to get even better fuel economy (not that that's the point with such a car), around 8.4 l/100 km or 33-34 mpg. Found a nice road from Ely to Littleport, by the river Great Ouse, where you can test the dynamics... absolutely stunning, breathtaking and smile bringing.

How are you finding the car a few weeks on??

700 miles in and I can't stop wanting for more! The engine is sublime and it makes me wonder why isn't everyone buying a car like this :) Who needs diesel and 1.0 cars when you can have this?! I admit it's a bit more expensive, but it's practical and it brings joy to your life :)

Managed to get 8.0 l/100 km (35 mpg) with the last tank, which is impressive as well. My Fiat Bravo 1.4 TJet that I have back home doesn't average that.

As it was mentioned on this forum before, having it in Cupra mode is what you want. The acceleration is nearly savage and indeed you get wheel spin even in 3rd gear. Comfort is very good around city, makes the ride better for the speed bumps and potholes and the acceleration much less responsive - nothing happens up to 3000 rpm.

The only thing I am not 110% satisfied with is the gearbox - it might be just me, but changes are not as smooth as I was expecting.

The interior might feel quite dark without a sunroof and that's why I think it's a must have, especially on leased cars where it is a 25 per month extra option (2 years plan).

My only regret now is that I only got 8000 miles per year. I should've went for 10000 as I want to drive it every weekend even if I have no need to

How's yours, does the 4drive make a difference?

Manual. Sometimes I can't find the right gear... But maybe it's just a matter of getting used to it.
