Having trouble getting rain closing windows to work.

Close windows to detect rain
If you leave the car with the windows down and starts to rain, the car automatically closes the windows
1 - Module 09 - Electronic. Code (31347)
2 - Adaptation
3 - Select - Access Control 2
4 - Sub - ein aus Regenschliessen
6 - Change value to Active
7 - Sub - Menuesteuerung regenschliessen
8 - Change value to Active
9 - Sub - Regenschliessen art
10 - Change value to Permanent
11 - extended Coding (Bytes Mode)
12 - Byte 0
13 - Enable Bits 1 and 2

Can someone confirm the steps needed for the extended coding? It doesn't seem that Byte 0 is correct as that specifies left and right hand drive, nothing related to the rain sensor.

Still configured everything else and couldn't get the windows to close when I chucked water on the sensor.

That looks like standard long coding and not the long coding for the rain sensor. Mine is facelift but used this:

Go to [09] Central Electronics
Subsystem - G397_RLFSS
Enable Byte 0, Bits 1 & 2
My old value 00005D
My new 06005D

From what I have read lots of people have trouble getting this working, I have heard it suggested that the newer senors with the 'b' at the end of the model number just don't work for this function.

The part number of the sensor I bought ends in "A"
I'll keep digging to see what I can find.

That is the problem, i have read in lot of forums, with new sensors, at least in Spain MKIII Leon, you can not activate this option, you need to change your sensor.

Really want to get folding on lock sorted so we don't have to hold down the lock button. Whats the chirp on lock like? Our has an alarm. My Jag makes a beep when you deadlock it which I like so would be cool to get the Leon to do something like that, as long as its not a loud horn toot.

Any one around Bedfordshire with OBDEleven that could help me out?

I seriously looking at getting one of these, so I may be able to help you there.

Looking at the website now, can I just confirm with someone who has already bought one, do you need to by the Dongle:

obdeleven.com/en/home/10-obdeleven-device.html (£35.51)

And the buy the pro package:

obdeleven.com/en/home/11-pro-pack.html (£22.19)

Or are there any other deals out there that I'm missing?

Cheers

You need to buy the OBD11 Dongle and the Pro if you want to be able to code and change everything with having to pay anything extra. There are some deals every now and then that just give you extra credits to use the apps.

I personally have 3 different dongles and one pro account

Also just be aware the coding for Facelift cars is not always the same as Pre Facelift ones (which have more codes) as VW changes the setup of the car systems.

Nice one Cheers! Why 3 dongles? do they have different functions? I'm assuming that I'll be okay on the facelift issue, I have a 64 plate FR TDI (184)

Simply because I keep them in the car and got one cheap second hand as a spare at home.

Yes you will be fine on a 64 plate (mine is a 14 plate)

Hi all!

This is my first message (I'll post a good presentation later, I promise!)

I have a question for you all:

I'm trying to set one ambient light for each driving mode, but I can't.

For example, I want to put Blue light for normal drive, orange for sport, and red for Cupra.

So when I change my driving mode, the ambient light changes also with it.

As same as old Leon 5F change from white to red depending on driving mode.

Could it be possible?

Thanks in advance.

I never noticed adaptation channels for this mods.

It has to work as same as old Leon.

The one who has only 2 colors. White for normal mode and when you change to sport it changes into red automaticaly.

This is the answer I got from other forum:

i want this too but i have no solution. The problem is the old Leon.
Leuchte16 and Leuchte17 is red and white ambiente light.the old leon could change the brightness of the light so that only one color is active or the other. The new Leon with mulitcolor has the ambiente light another technique. I'm not sure if it is possible.
my solution so far:

Stg09 Innenlicht 2.Generation chance Ambiente_Farbwahl_FPA_Waehlbare_Kopplung to active and Ambiente_Farbwahl_FPA_Waehlbare_Kopplung_Status_HMI_default to active.

Now you can in the Ambiente menu choose Automatic. the info says the Color is Changing if you choose a driving mode, but nothing change.i think something is missing.

Maybe this could help someone...

Hi, I've read through the thread but can't see to find the answer.

I only want to be able to make it so that the auto fold mirrors on lock, I have a new face-lift cupra, can this be done on Carista or will I need to still buy OBDEleven Pro?

Mirror fold with one Click
Tear drop front/rear wiper
Rear LEDS always on
Park Pilot Reverse Display(if you don't have reverse camera but do have rear sensors)
Lap Timer
Rain Closing Windows
Cornering Fog Lights(deactivated on mine as I've LED Dipped beam)

My chirp isn't a chirp. It's the horn itself and too loud so turned it off on the settings on the radio(didn't de-code it)

I think that's it using "Long Coding"/Adaptions not using the Apps
How do you do rain closing with OBD11?

Hi Baron,

I'm new here and was wondering if you could help with the rain closing feature on OBD11? THANKS.
