Hi
You have got worried I have just been out and revved it up and it seem s not to be getting full rpm and seems to be limiting to 4000 rpm
to What should a 1.4 TSi Rev to according to book it should be 5000 to 6000

Just found out from dealer it has a rev limiter if stood still at 0

Could be a safety feature. Go drive the car and see if it revs correctly when driving.

If there's no warning lights I'd say it'll be grand.

I had EML and EPC lights on aswell as start stop error on the CAR menu.

Not too far away
Static revs are limited I beleive.

I had an intermittent EPC light and no other lamps. When it was on my revs were limited and most of the time I had no boost from the turbo which was extremely noticable.

Pmerryman, is your a 1.4 or a 1.2 as per your sig?

Brian, you would definitely notice the fault under normal driving. Just keep an eye on it or drag it into a dealer for them to read the faults out if under warranty. I think there is a TSB which says something along the lines of first lube the mechanism, then replace actuator and finally replace turbo of all else fails. Obviously yours may just be a one off or not related to this at all

On again

Well that that theory quashed :(
EPC light came on again tonight shortly followed by the Fault in emission control system so it will be a call to dealers on Monday luckily it only 10 min up the road from me and not working
I wonder if its a loose connection from when they did the service

Is the fault in the emission control system the yellow engine management light?

My money's still on the turbo actuator.

1/ EPC Light and Emission light faulty turbo actuator new turbo required !!
2/ stop start fault traced to faulty brake light new light unit required

they have also found a fault on sat nav which I have had no problems with and that is been replaced
All parts on order should be ready Thursday I good job I had two car free days planed and garage is loca
lf not complete a Loan car for Christmas
glad it under warranty

Does not say much for a 2 year old car at 12000 miles

Haha, I also had the stop / start error but it only happened the times the EPC / EML lights were on so it's interesting they traced that back to a brake light on yours.

(I do check my brake lights each day as I'm leaving the driveway anyway :) )

At least your all sorted!

My stop start fault only came on at same time as EPC so seems strange I have not noticed a brake light out wonder if it Led drawing the correct current ?
