yes Laser is Ok and a reasonable price also has a good web sight which is worth a nose anyway

vw main dealer will have them but will probaly cost a lot of money, also if you can get a haynes manual for your car it will tell you how to make 1 in there

i use halfruads tools and i can't fault them and they are good value for money and they have lifetime garantee which is a big plus

The only tool that'll really be of any use is the locking pin for the injection pump, once its pinned nothing will move once the belt is off but i'd mark each pully against a none moving part of the engine as reference marks, There is no crank tool but you can 'time' the crank from the hole on the gear box end if you line up the marks on the block and the flywheel.

I thought the only tool needed was either a 6mm or 8mm pin or drill to hold the injection pump as stated above!
TBH nothing should move and again as stated above, mark each pulley
