Facelift touchscreen behavior in cold weather

Hi guys,

Any feedback on how the touchscreen has been behaving in this cold weather?

My 280 has to be above a certain temp for the touchscreen to behave, so for instance changing driving modes can only be done using the button initially.

Sometimes It also behaves as though I've been randomly pressing buttons.

Anyone observed this behavior on the facelift?

Very common on the 280s, normally replaced under warranty, but I'll presume you're put of that now?

No still in warranty but swapping for a 300 at the end of Feb/March. Just dawned on me that there are less buttons on the facelift.

If the issue has made it's way across to the facelift the console would be of less use to me on those cold mornings - until things warmed up.

Just for balance I have the second gen media system in a model year 16 280 and it's never missed a beat.

The first gen was terrible though!

Oh I didn't realize there were different gen models on the prefacelift.
Mines a 65 plate with the Android auto/carplay USB connection.

Guessing it's the old unit

I think that's the 2nd Gen unit just like I have in a 65 plate. The 1st gen had smaller screen and lower res graphics and no car play option. I've Not had any problems with mine. Sounds like yours might need to be replaced.
