Hi All,

I’m new around here and have recently purchased a Cupra 290. The cars a 16 plate with only 7000 miles on the clock. The car is literally in perfect condition other than two scuffs on the steering wheel where it looks like someone has caught their jacket zip or something?

Anyone had a similair thing on their steering wheel? And if so are there any suggestions on how repair/cover these marks. Thanks.

Usually it's rings that knackered leather s/wheels. You may need a new cover if it really bothers you.
XThiloX seems to have put an alcantara cover on his. Unless they came out as factory issue.

I've also got a scuffed steering wheel but mine is at the bottom underside where I caught it the car key getting out of the car. Luckily for me it's not noticeable until wheel is turned. I would give a specialist upholsterer a call to see what can be done. If light scuffing it may be possible to lessen the scuffing

Thanks for the replies,

So I found a mobile leather repair specialist. He deals with all sorts of leather damage to car seats / steering wheels. Booked for a home visit on Monday, but judging from his work on his website were he has repaired steering wheel damage 10x more severe than mine I'm keeping high hopes all will be good as new.

I know people may think I'm being anal but it's something I can't help but constantly notice. I'll keep you updated on the results. :D
