I got my car (03 stdi) with a 'normal' key and I'd like to get a flip key. can someone tell me how many buttons are on their key fob and if all I have to do is buy a key on ebay, pair the transponder, remote and get a blade cut? any pointers appreciated. cheers

edit...
any idea what the difference between the following fob parts are: 1J0 959 753 >>AG<< ? how's an ag different fron an ah, n etc?

update:
AG remote worked fine,
key works fine.

transponder is TBD, but it looks like you use vagtacho to 'get' your SecretKeyCode / SKC if you don't know it.
and you use: VagCOM to add your new transponder id to the list of accepted id's. I guess you need the SKC before it allows you to add another chip id.
since these transponders are programmable you can actually clone your old key's chip id and then there's no need to program your car to accept new id (super vag "transponder programmer")
