errr, how much trouble am I in?
my arosa tdi (high mileage, fsh) has been playing up recently and then last week it started over revving MASSIVELY as I was going down an A road. Stupidly, I thought it was the dpf trying to clean itself but now I reckon it's something terminal related to the turbo. The oil level's gone up about two inches above where it should be so I think diesel is getting in there. I don't think the head gasket's gone and the internet mentions seals on the turbo but I'm not sure how it's actually failing? Please could someone give me an update on what's up? is the turbo knackered completely or can these seals be swapped? has the DPF got clogged somehow and is it this that's causing the diesel to get into the oil causing the fail?
Cheers

blocked DPF?

The turbo seals can be replaced but it just a pain to do.

Id say not likely turbo, definately not head gasket and more DPF related, I think there is an inlet pipe that can get blocked.

Ive heard of this scenario and the owner as a 1st step changed the oil and it cleared itself. (it had not been changed in a while)
