Hi all, sorry if this is a re-post, but haven't seen it on here.

I have just de-locked my Ibiza using new handles with no lock and barrel
Took me all of ten minutes to do both of them.

Heres the codes you need if you want to order em from Seat

MK2/3 black handle
6K4839205B3FZ £16.45 + VAT

or

MK2/3 primed handle
6K4839205CGRU £16.45 + VAT (if you are painting em body coloured)

you also need an allen key

remove the rubber gromit on the side of the door, unscrew the hex key, pull the old handle out. Put the new handle in place, screw in the hex key, replace the gromit. Do other side. Stand back and admire

after

there you go easi peasi

BTW your car will need central locking before you do this [B)]

this should work on all mk2 & 3 ibiza's and cordobas

What happens if you central locking fuse blows?

If the ibiza is anything like the Leon, the fuse box is on the side of the dash, and cannot be accessed to be changed.

If this is the case, I highly recommend that you relocate the fuse to somewhere accessible just in case this occurs!

This was exactly my train on thought, just wondering if they had thought of that!

Fusebox on teh Ibiza is accessible inside the car with doors shut so it's a thru the boot job

but it doesn't deadlock, which is the other problem with doing it on a Leon.

But then the mk2 has no internal 'unlock' button

So you'd be pretty screwed & would have to get in & out thru the boot.

i agree nice easy mod, i have done both sides on my car, handles came from the rear of a mk4 polo and it was a straight swap. Got em on ebay, brand new in VW packaging, 2 of em, delivered for £8 :p

an yes its a "through the boot" job if my remote locking screws me over
I colour coded mines too, not a great example but it does for now and looks good too
