BTW a vag com lead for can bus at the moment is about £275 form rosstech.
Easier to get a hand held scanner for £35 which can show and erase the codes given by the ecu.

and will get vag-com when it arrives so i can at least read the error code and will pay the license fee to clear it - damn site cheaper than the £45 stealers want each time something happens
