The fault is obviously still there and as an intermittent fault it will takes so many occurences before the light comes on. I had this problem with mine 6 months ago and had to replace the bridge.

some may say lala land....
mine is smooth as and wanted to do changes to plug and bridge over weekend, but garage didn't have plugs so will do this saturday - thanks glynnd for the notes, seem easy enough to do and will have vag-com by then to def check what is at fault

I've read too many threads on this and most seem to say it is bridge/plugs or both so changing both to be safe, what doesn't help is the light can mean about 6million different things

i had all mine replaced this week.
£15 each from vw, cleared code and car does feel much better now, though wasn't lumpy before, just not happy!! If that made sense.

I would suggest doing all 4 in one go as easier.
i recall a thread that pointed to a link that said even though it highlights plug it could mean 1 & if highlights 2 could mean 3 etc etc so felt safer to do all 4
i was going to do bridge but vw man said it should be fine as is - and so far he is right

Lets hope it stays off. I did all 4 of my glow plugs and the light stayed off for 3 months then came back on again. Same fault code, so replaced the bridge and its been off since, which is 4 months now!

bit of an update

' if the technical term is bridge for the grey thing that connects the glow plugs '

this was simply loose or became loose at somepoint after changing the one plug, it now start on the button everytime,

so before buying more parts check the simple things 1st :p

Hi guys. I've been having the same codes on mine, for cylinders 2 + 4. Brought the bridge and glow plugs. Changed the bridge loom today. Bit of a ball ache but got it done. Have a query though. The plugs fitted in the car are not BOSCH. They are Denso DG-005 plugs and are about 5mm shorter than the BOSCH ones. Can anyone check to see if the part no: N10579201 is the same as the ones you guys have and are the correct glow plugs as I don't want to fit them and they hit the pistons. Many thanks.
