As the the title says, my ibiza has had a catastrophic coolant leak. Basically I gave it the beans away from the roundabout using all of the whopping 69bhp as i had been stopped for a good 60 seconds and became impatient. 5 mins later the engine temp warning light came on, luckily i was basically outside my house. When i popped the bonnet there was coolant all over the battery intake pipes and air filter box and also on the underside of the bonnet. Most of the coolant seems to be on the passenger side of the engine bay, the actual engine itself doesnt have much, if any coolant residue. Any ideas? im thinking maybe a heating pip or something has burst or came loose? as it seems all the coolant has leaked at once. Ive not had a chance to have a more in depth look in around the engine bay yet as its only just happened. Any help would be appreciated.
