FR TFSI Remap

Hi, i was just wondering if anyone had any experience with an FR TFSI thats been reamapped. specifically the performance and the fuel consumption with one. I've got a 2006 one with 47k on it, would be looking at a ***** Stage 1 Map

Thanks,

Matt

Performance is greatly improved, in gear acceleration is a pleasure, but then it would be for a circa 50hp improvement. Torque on mine went from 200 ft lb to 290 ft lb peak with the flat curve at about 270. Obviously all dynos are different so take the figures with pinch of salt. I wouldn't recommend getting a remap without having a dyno as part of it.

As far as fuel economy goes it will suffer if you actually use the remap (and remain the same if you don't). Long term I'd expect worse, and you won't be disappointed.

Oh and make sure you declare it to your insurance company.

The age old debate now with regard to which remap to get... is there a lot of difference between the "big ones" really or is it all down to customer service!?

even with their next offer 20% off its still a damn sigh more expensive than a p-torque.
i agree with the saying "you get what you pay for" so i was tempted by the REVO, but customer reputation for both is very high.

swings and roundabouts with both mind.
