For a moment, I was worried all the cars in this thread would be silver

No new ones of mine I'm afraid... but it's not changed in 3yrs

Just a 1.8 20v

Had grand-designs on a 2.0TFSI (and DSG...hence the paddles) but time/funds have had to be re-allocated and the engine's still in a mate's garage

The Brembos are RenaultSport Megane/Clio calipers - same fitment as the LCR ones, but a single casting, so much smaller and lighter... plus I wasn't keen on the bright red paint on the Leon ones [B)]

is that a custom exhaust on yours or from the r32 golf???????

Straight off a TT quattro - I had one of the honeycomb valance panels off the 3.2 V6 for the bumper originally, but it looked a bit fussy

Bought my Toledo V5 20V toward the end of January, haven't had funds to do a great deal yet mostly been sorting out niggly little faults!

Its gone from this:

And now I've fitted Audi TT 6 spokes, I have yet to sort out the centre caps though!

It has already got a powerflow exhaust system and I have added an enclosed induction kit so defo sounds the part!

looks smart is that a cupra r splitter?

Yep that is indeed a Cupra R splitter on mine, was already there when I bought it but I agree it does look surprisingly good with the standard bumper.

Here's mine, had it two years now. I've not really done anything to it modfication-wise apart from fitting the TT wheels when I got it. It's going in for a service this week then I'll clean it and get some better pictures.

Some friends of mine with kit cars booked on the taster session at Brands Hatch on Tuesday, and seeing as mine is nearly finished and I havent been on track for ages I thought I'd take the Toledo along for a play with its new suspension/wheels/tyres.

It went very well indeed and other than ocean liner roll around druids felt pretty flat and planted.

Cheers, this was only a 20minute taster session, cost about £25 and doesnt put too much strain on the car so ideal if you just want a feel for it.

Its a 2004 pd130 SE, standard apart from Eibach Pro dampers and springs fitted a couple of months back with new bushes, wishbones and droplinks and the Cupra wheels clad with Eagle F1s. I've got 288mm discs, but with Delphi pads at the moment which were going off by the end of the session, but I was pushing rather harder than most people would on their first session (I've done a couple of full track days at Lydden Hill in the last kit car, and a taster session at Brands in the Toledo before).

Personally I dont think there's any need to be scared of track day driving, and most people I know drive considerably slower on their first trackday than they would on a spirited drive on the road. There are rules about where and how to overtake for a good reason, and a comprehensive briefing so it is only stupidity/driving like a c0ck that could cause any problems.

Loving the action shots Hugh!

Good on you for doing a track day, I'd love to give it a go but I think it would be to embarassing in my 110 diesel with standard suspension - maybe one day!

My 2001 V5 170bhp, lowered on Eibach Sportline springs due to the original front springs breaking.

TBH I'd be more concerned about the suspension and brakes than power on the track. I know I'm more experienced than most on that taster session, but I was going past some stuff that should have been much quicker (like the Cobra and CTR in the last pic!) so power definitely isnt everything!

I think the Eibach Sportlines are a 40-50mm drop, and the Eibach Pros (which I've got) are ~20mm.
