My Story

I bought my Exeo a few weeks ago, I love driving my (New to me) car, well that was until a genius in a BMW X1 decided pull out in front of me on a 50 mile per hour road with no indication or adequate reaction time for braking.

The inevitable happened and I now have to get my lovely car repaired, I would attached pictures but due to being new to the forum I can't.

I am on the hunt for the following parts, if anyone could help me I would be incredibly grateful.

I need a bonnet, front bumper, passenger wing, passenger headlight (halogen bulbs), radiator and honeycomb front grill.

I hope everyone is good and well, be safe out there on the roads guys and gals

Welcome buddy,

Sorry to hear about your car!

With regards to parts if you go to the SEAT UK dealer section and then choose listers at the bottom you can get quotes for genuine parts to replace the broken ones...

Will his insurance not cover all this?

Cheers

Thank you for the reply Jimbob.

I think their insurance will cover it as my insurance company is fighting my case as zero fault on my part. The other driver has denied liability so they are in the process of fighting it out. My car has been taken away for assessment last week so I should hopefully hear back soon on the category of the damage.

Take care out there everyone

I had repairs done by Listers VAG bodyshop in Coventry and was very happy with the service and the "like new" results. They also supply a loan car. 5 stars!

Hi guys,

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly, I finally figured out how to get on the listers seat site from your advice, the nearest one is in Coventry which is 80 miles away, when I get my car back I can't get it there due to the radiator being punctured in the accident and can't really afford a truck to transport it there either as my finances are limited with cost of living.

I might have to research the internet for spare genuine parts and have my local Volkswagen specialist fit them. If anyone could help with the parts above them please message me. Again as said above without wishing to mess anyone about, I might not have the money for the parts right away, I am trying to plan ahead.

If anyone is looking for a VAG Specialist I can recommend Lodge Service Station, Abbey Hey Lane, Gorton, Manchester, M18 8TH Tell: 0161 370 3014

Thanks for reading, take care out there guys and gals.

So sorry to hear about your car, what a complete nightmare! I can believe that the BMW driver is being an arse, it goes with the badge. I would have thought that it would be the job of the insurers to get your car fixed to previous condition, regardless of fault at this stage. You should be looked after and not have to fix it yourself unless they write it off. It is upto your insurance company to fight for you & claim back costs after. Good luck!

Hi
Unlucky story.
Had the same thing last week without the tinkle of breaking glass.
Managed to hit hand brake at last second and stopped 6”short of the other car. Oh and guess what?
It was a BMW driver too.
He was pulling out from the pub!!
Good luck.
