help!!!
My partner recently brought a 2006 seat leon 2l tdi 140.
when its running on idle feels like its going to cut out, but the car also feels quicker.
So I done a little investigation into this, to find that there was a fault on vcds of camshaft sensor, before I went to replace this I took the top cambelt cover off to have a look, to find the inlet cam has been advanced on its mounting bolts.
on vcds it says its advanced by 5 degrees I think it was.
I done a little research into this and I have found people do this to stop it smoking and a little power gain.
I want to know
1: if this is true
2: if its worth it or to replace cambelt a time it up properly and will this cause any damage?
3: or I have been told by vagtech in Milton Keynes to put a custom map on it to incorporate this and get it running better.
any help or thoughts on this would be appreciated.
