Before the FR I had....
1983 Cavalier 1.6 GL (what a beast)
1991 Cavalier SRI 130 (pretty nippy in a straight line... slow for the bends by throwing out the anchor)
1990 Batmobile aka Toyota Celica GTI 2.0 Uk spec, black pop-up head lights pretty nippy but oh around the corners it was on rails ... and I don't feel so nibble in the FR as that (It was 18yrs old when I sold it)

Driven/had access to numerous other cars

The FR TFSI petrol is definately the best engine, but would love the handling of the Celica with it... oh and the pop ups...

Some crackers:

1) 10 year old 1973 Austin 1300GT with no clutch, swiss cheese sub-frame and blown manifold (but surprisingly 12 months MOT);

2) Ford Capri 2.0S JPS in black with Wolfrace alloys and retrofitted electric windows - I looked like a dealer!

3) Triumph Dolomite 1500 (NOT the Sprint), bought from an auction - it lasted 2 hours before the big ends went on the M62;

4) Another Ford Capri, this time a 2.0GL;

5) A brand spanking new, straight from the forecourt....1989 Fiesta 1400S. About as powerful as a motability scooter, with the same street-cred.

6) 1992 Mini Metro 1.4GTi 16v (with multipoint injection, I'll have you know!) 103bhp in something smaller than a rollerskate and the handling to match - it's a wonder I didn't kill myself.

7) 1994 Vauxhall Corsa 1.5TD - well, with fuel at 50p/litre I had to make savings.

8) 1997 Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 Sport:sleeping:

9) 2000 Peugeot 306 DTurbo - great handling car with a reasonably pokey engine.

10) 2003 Peugeot 307 DTurbo - underpowered heap of sh1t.

11) 2005 Skoda Fabia vRS - excellent car that could be chucked around B-roads like nobody's business - why oh why did I give it up?

12) 2007 Seat Leon 2.0TFSi FR DSG - Oh, I remember now!
