have a look at rockingham https://rockingham.co.uk/ its up in the midlands just off the A1/M11 and not far from Santapod if you fancy a bit of drag racing 
cheers that track looks good, i might book one for the spring
how many laps one can do without cooking the brakes u reckon ?

Brands is your closest, but depending on which side of London your on, Castle Combe is easy to get to along the M4.
TBH I don't think it makes any difference for your first time, unless your after straight line speed..
