I want to keep my car looking fairly standard, but am interested in reducing heat soak and improving cooling to the side mount my car has. I've searched the forum and not found anything that answers it as most bin it for a front mount. Any ideas?

There are a few mods regarding getting as much airflow to the SMIC as possible.

One is the TT style vents cut into the wheel arch liner behind the cooler. Fairly simple to do with a sharp knife or dremel.

Another is to create a scoop at the front to force a greater airflow right to the cooler.

If you still have your undertray you will notice that it has a scoop cut into that, so if your missing the undertray might want to look at getting one or not if your car is greatly lowered.

Edit: Just thought this is a mod I might as well do. Just bought the liner from here for only £14.34 http://www.carpanels.com/catalogue/moreinfo/CP11740

Thanks very much, will get these done. Still have full under tray, and as it's only going to get warmer, might as well get this done.
