Has anyone got this on their new Leon? Can you tell me how well it works, please?

Am I correct in thinking this comes with auto wipers and lights as well? My experience of this in other cars hasn't been great!

Thanks, Dave.

Auto Dimming is Great

I have been using the one on my Altea (should be identical) for 18 months (27k miles) and i wouldn't be with out it. Everytime i use a car without one, i can't believe how i managed before. It's so good i tried to get it put on my wifes Ibzia, but it was too late when i asked as, it had already started down the production line.
A lot of the cars at my work have auto wiper and headlights, the auto wipers are useful, but can be frustrating and auto headlights are for girls and old people.

The £175 for all 3 seems reasonable though

On my Pug, when it's switched on, it has a daylight sensor facing the front windscreen, ensuring it will not "dim" by sunlight, and a rear facing photo-cell. the amount of light falling on the photo-cell will depict how much the electro-chromatic glass will dim.

had it for last 18 months. Brill piece of kit, also got rain sensing wipers, so will defo be ordering the package as an option for the new one

The pack with auto lights, wipers and dimming rear-view mirror is good value - I've driven cars in the past with auto wipers and found they were either too sensitive or not sensitive enough, the settings on the Leon seem to work well.

The rear view mirror has a switch on it so you can turn the auto-dimming feature off if you want.

Auto lights - my only complaint (and it's only a minor gripe really) about them would be that you can't turn your fog lights on with the switch at the Auto setting. Have to turn it to the headlight position before you can use them - there's a delay on the lights so you don't lose lights when switching from Auto to headlight position and back again if you need to.

Mine works fine as well on my Altea... it's a lovely luxury so those annoying cars can get as close as they like but it doesn't annoy you and if they are sports car's your lucky to see them in the Altea since they are so low down under the back... seeing that the Altea is high ;).
