I figure I'll throw in my two cents since it's a bit different to most and besides I'm bored:

In 94 i had a Red 88 Chrysler LeBaron 2door coupe (awesome first car)

in 96 changed to a Red 90 Geo Prism lowered on alloys with HUGE stereo worth more than the car (yeah I know, Geos are pants, shut up)

then 99 i got Met Blu 94 Buick Regal black windows with chrome electric everything (really miss that one)

2002 moved back to the land of unreasonable insurance and got a Blurple M reg Mk2 Ibiza 1.4 (bit slow after the 3.8 litre Buick)

2006 got a Silver 52 Leon 1.6s

2009 got my Black 05 LCR

Wow just realised half of the cars I've owned have been SEATs

2006 ' 06' Skoda Octavia vRS
2007 '57' Renaultsport Clio 197 FF
2005 '05' Renaultsport Megane Trophy Stage 1/2 (~270BHP)
2008 '57' Suzuki Swift Sport (The Megane suffered terminal failure....)
2005 '54' Audi A3 3.2 V6 Quattro S-Line DSG (fully loaded - couldn't resist)
2006 '55' Ford Mondeo ST TDCI running bluefin ~ 180BHP
2006 '06' VW Golf R32 DSG - stage 1, De-limit, Rev limit increase
2007 '07' Renaultsport Megane 230 F1 Team R26 no 477 - VERY twitchy

Coming Saturday 18th July:

2009 '09' Seat Leon Cupra in Luna Grey with 18" Black Orion Alloys.

I can't wait tbh, the Cupra just feels so planted compared to the Megane. Some may think this is odd given the reviews the R26 has received but being brutally honest it is massively overhyped. The LSD makes it far too twitchy for anything but perfectly smooth roads. Crossing the white line to overtake a cyclist is lethal in the wet...

But I digress.

Hi all :)

Lol, lets just say its a combination of bad luck ( a couple of the cars had turned out to be complete melons) and me having a short attention span.

The funny thing is the Leon Cupra is a car I looked at a while ago but at the time I decided to go for something else. Having driven the one I am getting this Saturday I am stumped as to why I didn't go for it before. This may have something to do with researching too much into the cars, expecting perfection (R26) yet the end result is a good car that doesn't really do everything I want.

Oh well... roll on Cupra :D

I'm sure the R26 is a fantastic car on the track but is perhaps a bit too focused. This usually doesn't equate well when used on the road, where the road surface is generally nothing like a nice smooth racetrack and with such hazards as manhole covers, white lines, pot holes, diesel spills, etc.

I'm sure you will enjoy the cupra especially if you get it remapped, works supremely well as a rapid practical car on the road.

I had an R26 for a Year before the K1, its a great car, probably quicker on the track due to its LSD, but after a year it felt old, and losses value like the Titanic.....

The K1 is a faster car in a straight line, and is not too shabby around a track, and after a year if feels like new... except Paint work issues I have, but thats another story.

I dont regret selling my R26 for the K1, as an everyday car the K1 is the better choice......

1999 Citroen Xsara WestCoast 1.9TD (the two door hatch/coupe).
It was quite nippy, but the breaks where s:censored:t and I was forever cooking them.
It was badged a VTR in france. Sold it to a mate from work and he is very happy with it.

Before than a 1993 Honda Civic ESi 1.6 V-TEC (SOHC) - A car I still miss loads, but a house and a big fuel bill meant I needed derv.

Before that a 1984 Triumph Accaim CD - Everyone has to start somewhere and it was a lot faster than the 1.1 fiesta's that everyone else had.

First Leon was a 2001 1.9 TDI SE. Revo'ed

I Kept hold of the 1990 MX-5 for a few years and had it as a fun car with the Leon. (until you drive one, you will not understand how much fun these cars are!) Had to let the MX-5 go as I had 2 cars and 2 motorbikes, and that was a bit silly.

Got a 2008 Leon FR TDI now.
