Having owned my Seat Leon TDI FR MK2 for around 5 months am looking to do some stuff and ask some questions.

Currently I have the 18" alloys and bluetooth with mfd2 display and ipod under the seat.

I currently have a p-torque stage 1 remap which a dyno run print out states 221bhp and 340lbs of torque. Am happy with this.

ANYWAY my questions.

After owning a Apple Iphone 3gs and Ipod video classic I try to connect these to the ipod under the seat connection.

1) The Iphone 3gs will not play and music nor charge up am I doing something wrong?

I also need the docks for the ipod video 30gb as I dont have one for this. Where would I got one from cheap?

2) I got the Ipod video hooked up it will only play music off my playlist. How do I play all my music on there?

3) Is there anyway I can get all my albyms etc displayed on the dash of mfd2 display?

4) Is there any new displays out like a mfd3 or mfd4? How much will it cost to change to one of these and is it easy to replace?

5) A rear spoiler how much is one of these and is it easy to fit?

6) Is there any other cheapish mods I can do to make the car run smoother like a air filter etc?

7) Looking for 2 new tyres on my 18" allys what do you recommend I need something which will last a long time and also grippy to handle the remap.

Thats it for now sure ill think of something else as soon as I press submit.

spoiler is akward to fit you will need to be off road for around 36hrs whilst the goo goes off! [and get it sprayed of course]
line 7
with extra torque it is quite hard to get more than 15k out of the fronts !! I think the latest feel is for Goodyears?? but look up threads - good luck

Think I might just get the mfd3 fitted and sell the mfd2 unit I got now. Will this be possible to just replace like that. iPod connection is really disappointing just acts like a 6cd changer. Least the mfd3 has a 30gb hard drive in it.

Still thinking over the rear spoiler or rear spoiler and side skirts or none.

Just to clarify, when you say 'MFD2' which of these do you mean?

- The MFD (multi-function display) in the instrument cluster on the dashboard where the MPG / trip computer / mileage appears

or

- The 'MFD2' Sat Nav / CD / Radio head unit in the centre console

The MFD display in the instrument cluster doesn't support displaying information from the iPod when used with the factory fitted under-seat iPod connection. It will display track/album info when used with the Dension Gateway iPod soltions however. See this thread for more info.

... from using the touch apple have done something with the connectors and the charger and docking station that I have had for a few years for a nano refused to work with the touch. So I doubt you will be able to use the car to charger the i phone
I believe the older units used the Firewire power to charge (12v) whereas the newer ones use the USB pins (5v). This makes sense actually as there are far more devices with USB than (powered) Firewire, but it's a PITA if you want to use the same charging accessories across various generations of iPod/iPhone.
