downpipe q

right as daft as this sounds, is there any noticeable difference from having the dpf gutted to having a custom downpipe made up..... ive had the dpf gutted a while now but im going stage 2+ and i got told i need it to be a custom down pipe, is it gunna be worth the money swapping the gutted box for s striaght pipe. Anyone gone from the two and noticed anything

Dont wanna come across as an arse mate but dont want people going off about dpfs and mots lol. My mot guy has a blind eye if you get what I mean

Thats my question mate.... is it there any point in paying for a straight through downpipe even though its already gutted, surely there cant be any difference or any notice able difference at that
