I don’t think many people are going to get discounts on the new Leon range but what about extras?

I’m planning to have the current extras fitted to a 1.9 TDI Stylance.
Metallic paint £325
Leather seats £835
Heated seats £125
Parking sensors £175
Space saver wheel £35
Seat Leon mats £40

Should I expect to be able to haggle some discount or even have some thrown in with the car?

What deals did other users of the forum?

I got metallic paint and the auto dimming mirror at no cost by asking, I made sure I got that due to the relatively poor px value on my toledo.

It was a 2.0 TDI sport that I ordered.

dont expect too much as they wont want to discount anything, the extra's are the same as the car only the dealer fit stuff like the mats you might be able to haggle with!
personally i wont be discounting as it costs me persoally! we get paid on the profit and dont wanna give it away! :bleh:

find one that will do pre-regs

no discount = no sale

i got 13% off my fr and would expect the same around next year with the new leon when all the lovely hype that sales people love dies down.

So what you're saying is:

Head over at the end of a Quarter - barter hard because if you don't get the sale you may not hit your target & therefore rebate?

So go buy your Leon's in December when it'll be quiet anyway

trouble is, seat dealers are a dying breed and if discounts continue the'l be none left! were struggleing as trying to compete with dealers giving away there full 7% margin and as for pre reging not everyone wants an extra owner on the log book and there is a limit on how many times you can do it!

the reason that you'll get stuffed is people now get so much off the car we cant make the px look atractive!
as for the second owner on the log book people are still very fussy!
cant believe i'm talking on here on my day off!

Drive The Deal are showing discounts on the new model already. The spec you want works out at £15205 MRRP (excl mats) - the DTD price comes in at £14359, saving £845.

You will, of course, have to factor in other elements such as cheap finance or PX..........

Your options total £1535.

6 months ago we ordered a new Octavia 2.0TDi Elegance Estate for my wife. We spec'd almost £1800 worth of options and got the options for free.

At the start of the negotiations I showed a print of an Internet site that was £2500 cheaper than the dealer list price. We ran through the spec with the salesman and he asked what we expected to pay. I said 'full list price for the car, and all the options for free'. After a bit of thinking he said yes :D

I won't be ordering another Leon, if I don't get a similar discount.
