I have had a look at one of the guides posted about the front grill and need to take it off to put a radar unit behind.

I then need to thread the cable from the unit into the car some how any ideas where would be the best place to thread it?

Any pictures that could help would be brilliant!

Many thanks,

If you've already bought it then I guess this is useless, but most radar detectors aren't worth it, because they are barely legal (if at all) - the police take a very dim view if they find evidence of one - and they are next-to-useless against laser guns...

the problem with the radar detector is that when it goes off that means its too late as your speed has just been clocked, the check only takes seconds.... easiest way drive at 30 in a 30 and so on!!!!

As said above all they do is tell you that the laser has hit you which is next to useless when you think about it, almost like a camera detector that tells you when you have had you picture taken

Agree, slow down and save your money.

buy a satnav with safety camera alerts. at least that way you can get a heads up with the fixed ones.

This isn't always the case!!! the use of K range lasers can be deflected and scattered making it impossible to for the scanner to take an adequate reading often throwing an error on the screen.

Most police forces have taken the view to take a picture anyway and recorded it as an error two or more error readings it is possible for them to apply for a warrant and in pound the car for inspection. Please bear in mind if found guilty this can be a ban and the car disposed of.

Though their are just laser sensor out their remember that the k range is very wide from pico upwards not all sensors will pick up every type of laser gun and have often been know to be set off by automatic doors. They have been know to work up to two miles before the the laser gun but that is based on the sensitivity of your scanner to pick up laser scatter though that also means they must be using it at the time.

I own a Snooper S6-R Detector, that comes with a remote Laser detection module too!
Mine alerts me to Gatso, Truvelo, SPECS, Radar, Laser, Digital speed cameras and Accident hotspots.

At this time these devices are NOT illegal to own and use.
It is only the "Jammers" that are illegal, as they purposefully interfere with police camera devices, when targeted.

(I'm actually selling my S6-R with all accessories. If anyone if interested, please PM me). :)
