there's a technical way an easy way so i know this isn't the quickest but i use it as it's easier and i've got in the habit now
1) hi-lite the link required
2) right click+copy ( ctrl+c shortcut)
3) in your post type the desired text you want the link to say etc along with any message etc
4) hilite the text you want to use for said purpose
5) with the text hilited select the link icon
6) right-click then paste the link text into the pop up window ( ctrl+v shortcut)
7) press ok

I always post links in bb code just because it's neater... never really seen it as a hassle?? Plus you can add any descriptor you want:

It is quite a nice mod I used to have it on my forums, however for clarity of exactly where the link is taking you I decided to remove it, however it could be modded so that it would only work on forum links
