Hi guys and girls!
I have a 2007 MK2 fr 2.0tdi thats developed a couple of problems and I would like to know if anyone has any experience of them too.
Firstly, the fuel gauge has stopped working – last night when I turned the ignition on, it read zero fuel, no warning light, and the “miles to empty” was just three dashed lines.
This morning, it read half a tank and 2000 miles left to empty! Lasted about 5 miles before the needle returned to zero though.
It’s now gone back up to half a tank, 2000miles, but is slowly working it’s way down again.
Secondly, the yellow bulb warning light is on. All bulbs are working, until I put full beam on, which lasts for a few seconds and then goes off. But not all of the light pattern disappears – just some of it. It’s like the headlights go off but full beam stays on?
Any thoughts and experience greatly appreciated!!
