Does anyone keys cutting and coding?

I'm after one for a 2009 Leon FR, the flip style one.

Cheers

If you have the fob already there's a guy on eBay who will cut the blade for you. He can cut it off a picture of your old one too.

Did he give you a rough price? I'm keen to get a new flip for mine, but unsure whether just to buy a casing and swap out all my bits (although I hear changing the blade is real pain), or get a whole new key. Just wondering if its silly money or not?

Swapping the blades etc to a new case is easy. Plenty of videos on YouTube to show you how to wind the spring back up. Thats all I did when I got a new case and blade.

Just have to make sure you don't lose the immobiliser chip as it falls out of the case or forget to stick it back in the new one as it won't start the car.

Ah cheers mate. I would have a read up before hand to make sure but I either remembered the wrong way round or the guy wasnt very good at it.
How did anyone know how to do anything before youtube eh! ;)

Sounds reasonable for a totally hassle free option. Cheers.

Craig came to mine and less than 30 mins later I had a complementary flip key to the one I already had. £110 is what I paid. nicest bloke, friendly and knowledgable. I had to wait until he was down south to make it worth his while, but I'm well chuffed I didn't spend £200 at the stealers.
