Climatronic blowing warm air at coolest setting/with AC on

Hi all

I have a 2011 Leon Cupra TFSI. When trying to have some cool (minimum temp) air through the Climatronic resulted in warm air being pushed out. :(

When I engage the AC the same warm air is produced and doesn't ever get cool/cold.

I'm assuming perhaps an aircon regas is required, although didn't know if this was right as the same occurs with or without the AC being engaged?

Any help appreciated, I bought the car recently and it hasn't be used that often doing minimal mileage.

Thanks

Bjorn :)

Hey,

When you press the AC button do the engine revs change?

I ask as i am in the same situation as you thought i just needed a re gas took it in turns out it was full of gas but when i pressed my AC button the revs did not change and i was advised that i needed a new air con pump the price of those are £500 just for the part from eurocarparts :(

Thanks Tom I hoping not, only had the car a week

Interestingly on the way home today, the climatronic was the opposite - was cool (not cold) all the way up to 29, only when I set it to 'Hi' did it start kicking out hot.

Something really weird going on.

I had the same problem on my 2010 FR. The compressor clutch had gone. I was told by the dealers that this was a known issue. I managed to get the work covered under warranty back in 2013

My LCR has been the same since ive owned it. ( Bout 2 years) Never bothered to get to the bottom of it, as im pretty sure it wont just need a re gas, and im not prepared to fork out between 500 to 1000 just for aircon. A pisser but just not worth it.
