Why?
A dealer told me that they normally get one a month after the official launch - which is scheduled for the end of May.

because they dont start production until the last week in may so wont be here to launch until July

He only said they would have an FR "available for test driving" mid/late june. Delivery probably be well into july/august.

he wont have one on site until july, even for test drive, local dealer showed me orders not being physically built until start of june so wont be around in UK until july, sounds awesome though, will have a petrol one

I see there is now a pop up on the SEAT UK site where you can register to be kept up to date with news about the Leon FR between now and its launch in 'the summer'. As it looks unsure whether we will have a summer this year or not they seem to be on pretty safe ground there.

Just signed up to get the updates as my Dad is wanting to swap his TT for the FR when it comes out. Think he is getting a little impatient. Mainly wants to know what it is going to look like as if it's not something wow he wants to get the aero kit on it.

More information which may or may not be correct on the What Car site. Will the diesel FR really have the same 0-60 time as the petrol version?

Looks good in yellow, but I think you'd be hard pushed to notice the difference between the FR and sport if it was in Black.

Have to say I like that alot! Just got to get Dad now to decide whether he wants the FR bumpers or the Aero kit!

The seats look very similar to the sport ones only in a different fabric. But that gear knob what were they thinking? it looks like a joystick !!

One thing I do like is the new yellow colour though, although I'd never get away with having two yellow cars !

Think the gearknob would have to be changed immediately for a Seat Sport one!

I think the back works surprisingly well now. The matt black section makes the bumper look less bulbous and bulky. Seats look good too.

Is it me, or does something seem to be missing from the front bumper, like a splitter or something?

Don't forget they have to save a few things for the Cupra, that'll probably have the same bumper, just a bit deeper. I'd put money on those seats for example being the Sport ones recovered. The wheels look like 17", probably saving 18" for the Cupra (like the Golf GTI) It'll be interesting to see if the suspension is any different from the Sport's.

if the tfsi sport is the same engine , then exactly what are we geting that is worth 1k

apart from wheels that look worse than the sport.
