Just replaced battery with new one then stater went so replaced that, battery dint hold power so changed battery for another new one, same again couple of days without driving and dead as a dodo! The red car shape sign is on continually on the dads even with keys out, is that normal as that would drain a battery im thinking. All connections are good and clean. Went to go to not today and couldn't get started missed appointment as I thought it would have been ok with new stuff in. Any ideas especially the dash light?

This sort of problem is not one for just guessing, and viewing this problem remotely, this what "we" would be doing.

So, first thing is to measure the battery drain initially then 20 minutes later when all not required power supplies should have been shut down by the BCM (central electronics) - what you will probably find is that the drain, at this time, is greater than 5milli amps, sounds like a lot more! Then remove the power feed to each fuse box and see which one is causing the drain, then dig deeper to find the actual power user that is still "taking" current.

Also you need to check the charging system to make sure that it is okay.

Edit:- other checks needed are for interior lights staying on for ever, same for glove box and rear area.

Well, I've been there done that with daughter's late 2009 Ibiza SC 1.4, that car's discharge was a lot lower than your car seems to be, but I wanted to minimise/sort it so it cost roughly £157 diagnosis + £157 part + £157 fitting new part and calibrating to system, so all in all £464ish - even after that I bought a solar battery charger for leaving the car for long periods, ie a couple of months unused!

With your car it sounds like some thing is faulty or some wiring is faulty.
