hello people! I am working on my friends EA189 with the pretty standard EGR issue.
What are the options going forward? The EGR clean/replace is gonna be about 600 quid.... I have a full copy of Vag-com (VCDS). Can I turn the EGR down to minimum using VCDS? If so how do I do it? I am a VCDS newbie......... Could I just remove and blank the vacum control pipe? Any advice greatly appreciated.
I am pretty good on the spanners, but the depths of VCDS allude me.
