Anybody hazard a rough guess as to write off value. Some knob drove into the side of me the other day and i can't work out what i could expect roughly as a value from insurance company.

Autotrader valuation tool thing reckons roughly £1300 but reading insurance policy etc they say about value being enough to get a like for like replacement within a reasonable distance. As they are rare cars these days i think there holding there value - only two on autotrader with similiar miles etc to mine on for £2495 and £3295. Anybody been insurance write off recently?

Hello Mate, try not to get too optimistic re what the ads say.
Sadly your autotrader valuation is probably what you're looking at,
Perhaps a little more if you're lucky.
I know it doesn't help your current situation but in future (and for other
Readers) consider getting an 'agreed valuation' policy otherwise you
Probably will get shafted. As a rough guide without agreed valuation
you'll get little more than the CAP/Glass trade value.
The only real exception to the above is a car that is less than
6 months old thAt is written off, usually you'll get a like for like
New car although I'm told even these policy's days are numbered.
