Hi guys,

I recently bought a Seat Leon FR in Lima Green.
I noticed the next day after picking it up, I have a lot of condensation in both Headlights which is really bugging me.

SEAT response was “it’s a common fault with all Spanish designed cars” which I think is a terrible response,They didn’t offer to fix it and after several calls complaining that it’s not improving they agreed to have a look at it but not fix it.

My first topic on this Forum is to know if anybody else had issues with their Leon headlights and is it a common issue?

Usually they go away after a few days, or the next sunny (whenever that is in London) day.

I had the same with my Ibiza SC, but those have Bi-xenons and were emitting warm heat, so 15 mins of headlights use the condensation went!

I had Leon previously, LED lights emmit no heat, so took awhile to disappear!

I get condensation in my headlights every time I wash the car in the winter months. It goes away
fairly quickly.

Thanks for the response guys! It’s been 2 weeks since I have received this car. The weather hasn’t been so bad since the day I got it and I can barely see the condensation marks during the day.

Interesting read. I too have condensation at the bottom in both LED headlight units, 2015 5F 2.0 TDi 184 FR. Plus as a side note, I have seen a new Alteca with the same issue. I haven't asked the dealer about this yet but my car is due it's first MOT in June, watch this space.

Sharp corner of the plastic perspex pointing towards the number plate or just around where the high beam LEDs are yea? Have that in the exact same spots when I had Leon, and with the Bi-Xenons in the Ibiza too!
