Partly inspired by this and similar previous threads, I've recently finished a long-running project to put together every nugget of works car research into one place:

www.SeatSport.info

Hopefully quite interesting for various!

There's a stack of Ibiza pics to wade through here.

2testrun4_06.jpg

... videos here including a build video ...

... and quite a nice history coming together on the Kit Cars themselves, various Kit Car owners having been in touch to help with the long-running jigsaw puzzle.

Ibiza Kit Car chassis & history

I've just been reading back through this thread - hopefully that answers some of the long-running questions.

If anyone has anything else to add to the website, I'll be only too glad. Pls PM me to arrange. Many thanks.

Enjoy :)

We have a meeting at SEAT UK on Saturday, so I'll be sure to mention this to them, they might be able to contribute something of interest or allow us to gain access to historical info that would benefit the archive.

Brilliant - now confirmed as formerly B-7500-TK, which is the 1998 Gwyndaf Evans British Championship car / 1999 Barbara Armstrong car
Thought it was, since 7500 was known to have been in Holland :D

Nice to see these cars on a british forum. [B)]

Hi Hakko, nice finds. The last one is 2494 DJD, which is Evo 1 chassis, IK004.

Baporo of the official preparer/maintainer of ex-works Ibizas and Cordoba WRCs. I have a copy of the announcement which confirms the handover, effective 1 Dec 2003. The Spanish works team was moving to concentrate its activities on the Supercopa and other racing activities.
