just been for 2 new tyres at kwikfit, so got them to regas the aircon, still not working. kwikfit confirmed no leaks and it took the gas but no aircon, Kwikfit did not charge because they could not get it cooler.

so what to check next?????

does anyone know how to check the aircon pressure switch?

or something else?

thx
Mike

Probably a compressor fault, or one of the pressure switches.

If you can get access to VCDS and do some measuring blocks, it'll let you see where it is failing.

My advice for a possible cheapest repair would be to get in touch with a vehicle aircon specialist out of the yellow pages, they deal with AC systems every day.

Had the car in at a local VW guy who connected laptop up, came up with intermittent low pressure error 00229 . There is no gas in the system at all, so don't know what kwikfit did, going to take it to a place in Radcliffe this week and get a proper Regas/Test on the system.
