So I’ve done 800 miles since I picked it up done a couple of long journeys but it’s mainly short blasts, I’ve not checked the mpg but I’m getting between 280-330 miles to a tank. When I can I have been a bit liberal with the right foot though.

Don’t think about upgrading just do it you won’t be sorry.

Trust me I want to order one but its just pushing my budget too much. I really like the new Ibiza (I can afford that) but I can't convince myself that the 1.5 evo FR is going to excite me enough (its half the horses of the Cupra 300) I love the styling, apart from the fake exhausts. What a dilemma..:headhurt:.

Ran an Ice Silver 280 5dr manual from July 14 to July 16 when current Alor Blue 290 5dr manual arrived. Have just ordered a Mystery Blue 300 5dr DSG for July 18 - personal lease through local dealer in Poole. After left knee op it seemed the sensible option, have driven DSG demos before and decided to take the plunge - Mrs has yet to be convinced but it could mean she sticks to her Qashqai and stops nicking my car :funk:

Did you get a good deal from snows? They couldn't match my 1/23 deal of £270 a month for 12k miles a year I got from img, unfortunately means I'm having to travel to Warrington to collect mine.

Sounds about right to mine, I ordered 1st September and was provisionally build week 1. It's now build week 5 fingers crossed, looks like they are a month behind.

To be expected considering the amount of power through the front wheels. I’ve managed to spin the wheels in 3rd and that’s in the dry. Just got to know how to manage them.

I'm debating fitting ps4s when I get mine just hard to justify £700 for a set

Had a phone call from Seat today, the first time they've been in touch since I ordered at the start of September...

I last spoke to Chris Clark at Arnold Clark sometime at the end of November (after I rang him!), and he stated build week 1, delivery week approximately week 4, Seat now say provisional build week 9, a solid 6 months from ordering!

As a gesture of goodwill they have offered me 3 options to pick from.

1) Free service when due
2) £250 to spend in the dealer
3) £250 via cheque

Better than nothing I suppose. ;)

They certainly beat all the broker quotes I got, didn't check vs other main dealers though. Did mine on 9+23, spec includes DSG, metallic paint, winter pack and Seat Sound & still ended up very reasonable

My order went on today.

My first new car and as I intended to keep it a while it's fully loaded :)

ST DSG 4Drive
Nevada White
High Nav and Seat Sound
Leather pack (just had twins)
Panoramic Roof
Keyless
Advanced Driving and comfort pack
Safety Pack

Got a decent price from my local dealer by matching carwow so I am happy.

Initial leadtime seems to be July though!

Nice spec. That lead time is nuts.

Cheers it's a bit ott but I intend to keep it a minimum of 5-6 years. Hopefully that's worse case and the build is actually sooner. It's certainly going to be a change from the Mini Cooper S!

Only positive with that leadtime is if the beats package actually comes out...

It's possible the Beats audio will be a premium pack rather than replacing SEAT sound. Seems to be how it's played out in other markets.
