Liverpool Seat - Johnsons - What happened?

Took the car in today for a repair and some diagnostics done on the engine. Everything was fine until I sorted out the courtesy car details.
The girl on reception was very helpful, but I was stunned when she asked me for £25 for insurance. The 2 previous times I've taken the car in I've been given a courtesy car with no charges or questions asked. I needed to produce my insurance documents to show I'm covered, never had this before.
Not overly impressed with the new owners of Liverpool Seat. Bad start for a returning customer.

After consulting her manager, they waived the insurance fee for the car. Happy with this, she took me out to show me where the car was, the disappoint continues. Previously I was given a Leon or Ibiza, to match what I was putting into the garage. This time, a Mii. Bog standard Mii.

Doesn't look good when I turn up at a clients business and i'm arriving in what can only be described as a shoebox.
If they read this, I hope they take away a lesson in customer service.

Poor way to go about it when in previous cases I've been treated differently and far better. I shall be going farther afield the next time I need work doing, to Preston Seat.

par for the course with dealers, ive been fortunate In the past as I had to go to the top man and he kindly lent me his company car which was same as mine

but I know what you mean, going from a decent spec car to a bog standard one, but there argument will be down the lines of that's all we have available or the bus stops round the corner

Everything is sorted now, repairing the rear wiper arm as a gesture of goodwill. I shall write to Seat UK about the wiper arm issue as it's a clear design flaw.

The squeak was the ECU rubbing on something, this has now been secured properly.
The poor start of the engine is still being looked at. They aren't too sure what's causing it.

The courtesy car was swapped after I drove to Manchester and back in it, unsuitable for long journeys and a terrible drive, i've never heard an engine struggle so much in my life. Now driving in a very nice Leon 1.6 tdi, smooth!

They have redeemed themselves for now!
