HI ALL

Needed some help regarding some issues that i started facing from a couple of days ago.

Last friday , i just started my seat ibiza 2009 model to go to work and all of the sudden i saw this glow plug symbol blinking and i also noticed that suddenly the car does not have that much power as when i put my foot to throttle it was giving that much of acceleration that it should.

so i took it to the mechanic and when i reached the mechanic this emission control lamp was lit up.

the mechanic tired all sort of stuff , tried to locate the error , tried to scan it but was not able to figure it out.

now when i drive it does not give that much revs and not that much acceleration and both the glow plug light keeps blinking and the emission control lamp is always lit.

any suggestion would be really appreciated.

cheers !

It might help if you give us more details of the engine type and its version code.

Also, you really need to find a proper mechanic that has the VW Group specific diagnostic equipment to find what fault codes are being logged, it sounds like your current mechanic only has access to generic OBD2 scan tools.

Hi again

The engine is 1.4 tdi , eco version, model 2009.

and yes i agree i guess he was using a generic scan tool as he told me that it can scan pretty much all the cars.
i will try with a Vw one in the morning.

Just an update , went out to do some grocerries and noticed that the car is getting back its power , it felt it had more kick in it as compared to the morning but the lights are the same and blinking.
