Help - TCS Light constantly on and car slightly brakes when I take my foot off

I've just aquired a 06 plate 1.6 petrol Seat Leon and was having a play around with VAG-COM turning off the seat belt warning sign, changing the central locking so it opens all doors with one click, and turning on the beep when you lock/open the car.

However I inadvertently must have done something really stupid as now the TCS light (I'm guessing that's the right one? Its the one with the car on a slippery road in orange) is constantly on and the car seems to slightly brake when I take my foot off the accelerator. the RPM drops by around 1000 and its quite a jerky reaction.

Is there anything I can try to fix for this, like unplugging the battery, checking to see if I blew a fuse, or something in VAG-COM? Or is it a case of taking it to the dealer and explaining what I did?

it could be something as simple as a brake light switch

Have you initiated ABS basic settings? If so the procedure needs completed before the light goes off.

Best to do it in an empty car park as it involves loads of figure 8's at low speed

Cheers guys, it's not reading any fault codes, I'll have a look at both today. The TCS switch does nothing now so perhaps I've initiated basic ABS?

Lol, well I tried doing the procedure in a B&Q carpark last night after work (11.30pm) and got pulled over by the police asking what I was doing. Even after explaining I wasn't allowed to do that there.

I'll try again today. I don't think I've completed the procedure properly in VAG-COM if that is the case as nothing changed on the dash when I put pressure on the brakes. Perhaps I need to run through the procedure again on VAG-COM since it says once started you must let it finish. I certainly didn't go into any module relating to the ABS though. Does anyone know which module this is so I can re-run and let it fully do the checks?

I doubt that procedure is your solution if you never went into ABS then.

Look in the VCDS log folder, it should have a file with a running list of changes made and hopefully previous coding to revert to.

Right.... fired up VAG-COM again today and i'm getting error 16994 - ECU incorrectly coded.
Yes I must have done something stupid and I can't work out what. Is there a way to reset the ECU?

If you look in your ross tech folder on pc, one should have logs.

Check previous coding before you did this, copy and paste it into 01-engine and all should be reverted.

Resetting the ecu may open a can of worms

I was using an unoffical cable and I can't see its stored any logs as its an old version of the software
Even if I buy the official cable now its not going to do any good is it? Does this mean I'm left with a trip to the dealer, or can anyone offer another solution before I have to shell out hundreds??

Really VAGed that one up, and I don't even know how.
