Hi all, I'm 5 days away from getting the 1st new Cupra in NZ. 1st of the VAG Seats too, I believe.
We have a 5 year old GT86, and were set to update it, then I saw that the Cupra was coming here.
I saw the spec, saw the brilliant price, drove the first demo car and was sold on the spot.
Ordered a blue DSG 5 door with sunroof back in Sept.
We thought we'd keep the 86 for slower fun and my wife's commuter and use the Cupra for long road trips and such. But 300 horsies is quite addictive, that may change.

Also be prepared for driving everywhere with a weird grin on your face...
Enjoy and congratulations!

Welcome!

I lived in Timaru (South Island) for around 6 months, was supposed to be moving there permanent in 2008 but came back to the UK, I was in the process at the time of shipping my 2007 Ibiza out there.

I did see that SEAT has finally arrived in NZ a few months ago.

Just saw your post. Yes, they were released to the press on the 21st Sept, we ordered ours on the 22nd.
The brand is low key at the moment, but it has support of the largest dealer network here VW, Skoda, Toyota, etc, etc, etc. They're doing Cupra, Ibiza, Arona and Ateca for now.
