Good morning,

Who is the best/ Cheapest? pretty easy question hahaha

I've heard good things about green light..

Also how much do you think i should be paying...

22 yo. licence for 4 years, one year NCB, 1 accident still getting resolved. 50/50

Insurance is a minefield, nobody can give you an answer as to who is cheapest for you or even what you should be paying. No doubt plenty will come on here telling you what they pay but it isn't comparable. For example, I pay around £300-350 a year to insure myself and the other half on my Leon with all mods declared, but I am 30 and have about 10 Years NCB, so its not comparable at all

Try the specialist insurers like Greenlight, Sky, Adrian Flux, Brentacre, Prestige to name just a few from the top of my head. The open claim will heavily impact your quote, as will your lack of NCB which you won't be allowed to use and you are going to lose if its a 50/50 accident

Thanks for the reply the 1 years NCB has been earned since the accident but I will try the top insurers and just have a look for the cheapest

Have you tried Brentacre? They are down in Swansea I think, I was with them for years with modified golfs.

Hi bud.
As Dan fr said, different with every driver.
I'm using green light. Have done for years.
Reasonable value. Cheap for modifications.
As for price it's like a roll of the dice. Postcode plays a big part. Mines poo as I have lots of pikeys around where I live and they push up local crime levels which we are then punished for.
Parking off street helps too.
Another influence is points on your licence.
Phone around but it won't be cheap.

hi mate
i'm currently paying around £1400 i did a quick search and when i get my 1 year NCB it should go down to around £700 with no mods declared tho.
Gunna ring that green light up closer to the time because im not risking it anymore haha.

As you say it’s a risk, I didn’t know a minor slip on the ice would end up with the insurance engineer on my drive 2 days later checking the damage and if there were mods.

They know we do it to our cars and I wouldn’t like to get left with invalid insurance and a third party claim.....

Hi,
Please feel free to give us a try for insurance if you like. If you wanted to PM me some contact details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.
Regards,
Dan.

best thing i can suggest is shop around and tell the insurer what your best quote is. Insurance companies try it every time you renew, my renewal was double last year and thats with 10 years NCD.
