Photobucket, where I have been using a free account ever since I first found it (from a recommendation on here, I think) has just disabled what they describe as "3rd Party Hosting", which means, and I quote -
"Photobucket defines 3rd party hosting as the action of embedding an image or photo onto another website.
For example, using the <img> tag to embed or display a JPEG image from your Photobucket account on another website such as a forum, Etsy, eBay auction listings, blog, etc. is definitively 3rd party hosting."
So all my photo links now show an invitation to upgrade my account to one costing $400 a year. I only use the account for hosting pics for forums like this one, so this is not going to happen. I will be looking for a new image sharing service. It will be fun going back and editing the posts too.
