Problems with turbo

Take the connecting pipes off the turbo then feel the shafts for play, more likely you will have some and even possibly a broken shaft or blown seals.
If it is the turbo then yes.
New will set you back around the £700 mark, good recon/reman about £350-400, both plus fitting but not too hard to diy if you are able.

For sure. Just do your homework first.
Otherwise it becomes laborious and costly.
