Got a damaged abs ring on my mk1 fr anyone know if there’s any difference in the stub axle on the fr that would stop the use of any other Leon’s as a replacement and if so what cars fit ie matching carrier sensor mount?

All of the mk1 Leons and mk2 Toledos utilise the same rear stub axles.
They only differ when 4WD and the UK market never received these unfortunately.

I feel they would be hence the requirement for carrier to adapt to the specific brake set up of the model but just want to clarify before I go rip a stub axle off and find it to be wrong

Ok in that case there are a few variations but the FR uses the most common hub plate.

I'm pretty sure the lower spec smaller engined cars e.g. 1.4, 1.6 and low output TDIs have their own one, they certainly have their own hubs as it integrates the brake carrier bracket for the smaller 280mm brakes.

Any 1.8t Cupra / FR, PD130, PD150 will have the same ones as you though.

Cupra Rs have their own hub set up as well so unless you're changing the complete hub / bearing housings it's also a no go.

That’s what I thought might be the case so that’s ideal basically bent the abs ring and snapped the sensor bracket off. Welded the sensor bracket in place just to get the car out the workshop seemed good till pulling up to lights now the abs kicks the pedal from arround 10mph down to 0 not any other time however the live data shows a slight delay on the right side which was the damaged side it’s slower at pickup than left replaced the sensor and car threw a paddy with the new sensor so just going to get a whole hub stub axle abs ring and sensor off a breaker

Oh right so you've broken the hub changing the sensor...they are notoriously annoying to remove / refit though.

How urgent is it as I'll have some spare hubs at the weekend?

Bracket was sitting on the press when I was changing the wheel bearings snapped clean off the hub tbf with the abs ring bent up aswell which I used my Welth of knowledge to sort (in an aircraft engineer specifically mechanical) bent to straight with a hammer so I’m gonna replace the whole stub axle hub bearing sensor in a oner
