ok for those that haven't read my last 2 post i have had problems with my tappets which i thought i had solved and the car jerking whilst light acceleration.
so i took the car out this evening and to my surprise the tapping noise was back :censored: just what i wanted! so i thought i would hammer it to get the oil circulating again, the car was at temp so it was ok. the jerking got really bad and i thought it was going to break drown or blow up either one. then the EPC warning light came on "Electronic accelerator pedal control". would this be linked to the jerking months before the warning light came on? just to note that since the tappets was fix the "Diagnosis/ excess of polluton" light has been on and is still on. i know it needs taking to seat for a good looking over but can anyone shed any light on what these problems are just so i might be able to make the car a bit better untill i take her in? why is it that all is fine and now in the last 3motnhs i've had coil packs, tappets, and now EPC :help:

I thought EPC was to do with a faulty brake light switch? That's what is was on my old Polo GTi anyway...

Its the light that looks like an engine yeah? Mine came on on sunday. Did vag com and cae back with the fault code 17535. Spoke to a friend of mine and he put it down to a split or holed hose. I checked my hoses around the TIP and recirc and found a slight hole in the vacuum hose. So i would suggest checking your hoses.

Just for the record mine is jerking in first.
