All the Methanol will be thereabouts the same, as long as its 99.xx% you'll be fine. I had mine from a chemical supplier that sells on eBay for an OK price as i couldn't find a local retailer. De-ionised water delivered from Euros for less than the cost of the fuel i'd use to get there too :)

Will be worth it mate, makes a huge difference, especially if mapped for it

Cheers Dan much appreciated, just getting all the info I can on it as its new to me.

For info the AEM kit was £339 with tank, and optional extras of AKS throttle plate, water methanol filter, water methanol solenoid brought it up to £522 I think it was

Leon Cupra K1

Fitted the AEM water methanol kit with the extras I ordered. Also fitted the creation Motorsport runner flap delete kit.

Took about 6 hours start to finish and really pleased with how it drives now. Can get it to backfire loud on cue now and even just using screen wash can feel the difference. Can't wait to get the proper methanol ordered and running in it.

The runner flap delete kit seems to have no running issues so far without being mapped as I'm on Revo software. Will be keeping an eye on cold starts etc but so far has been fine. Can also give full throttle before its up to temp without issues (may be due to water meth).

Anyway here's some pics of the install...

Just wired in the led that lights up when the pump is running. Sits nicely in my pillar pod.

Nice methanol install. Water / method injection is well worth it BUT ditch the blue screen wash period...........why? When you inspect the screens on your nozzles in a few weeks time you'll find em full of gloop, I think it's glycol that causes it and you only need a trace of it present to contaminate a new water methanol mix. Stick with 50 / 50 water methanol and your good to go. I'm trying deionized water next.

Do you run a de cat with all these backfires your getting as I can't imagine your cat would last long with the backfires your getting.
Need some vids of your backfires.

Yeah running a decat and just the standard backbox. Will try and sort a video out at some point.

Yeah I will be getting some methanol on order this Friday, I've got an inline filter on my system so will be removing that and the nozzle to clean when I switch over. Followed by a full flush of the lines using the de-ionised water.

Cheers for the advice!

Had an issue with p310b fault code lack of fuel pressure on low pressure side. Traced it to be the in tank pump at fault, so purchased a deatschwerks dw65v drop in replacement.

Fits perfectly in the OEM housing just need to do some data logging to make sure everything 100%

Swapped out the neuspeed intake kit for the Revo intake. Instantly noticeable power increase, didn't realise how much the neuspeed kit was holding back at the state of tune I'm at. Well worth the money spent!

Not surprised - look how less restrictive the Revo is between the MAF and the filter :D

Improvement in MAF readings?

Yeah I know, wish I had just got the Revo to begin with, live and learn haha. Haven't had a chance to log it yet, done a reset so waiting for fuel trims to stabilise and then will give it a blast and see what it peaks at!

Yeah going to get it done at our Nissan site as the master tech does all the Nissan GT-R's so will get him to do a fast road set up.

Also had a misfire gradually come in over the past 2 days, just been out and looking like injector no1 has gone down

Proper alignment will make a huge difference

Definitely fuel rather than spark related? Getting quite common with the K04 injectors. Better take it easy and get it done ASAP. Nightmare

Yeah I put new set of plugs in and swapped the coils around didn't make any difference. Can see the misfires climb on idle, but none through the revs.

Going to chuck an injector on and hope the others don't go anytime soon, getting bored of taking the manifold off haha

Bit of an update, will put more pics up as I progress. The misfire ended up being a cracked ringland on piston no.1. Have fully stripped the engine down and had the blocked assessed, block had minimal wear so no further work required apart from a hone.

Will be ordering the massive shopping list of parts next week and hopefully have it back up and running soon!
