wasn't askin' I was refering to engine vac originally not control (flap)vac even when control vac is switched off the vac from an engine which continues to turn will hold the flap shut, once that vac dissappears ie: engine stops the return spring will flip the flap open again:)

I have no idea how the anti-shudder valve is programmed, but there is a vacuum reservoir which will keep the anti-shudder valve actuator in the shut position for a short while after the engine has stopped. I feel that it would be more dependable that way, rather than relying on the inlet suction to hold the flap valve shut.
