Here we all are ranting about the price of diesel...bet half of you are closet socialists...don,t vote for the *******s, are you all too young to remember that the last Labour Govt. did exactly the same thing...spent all the money and ****ed up the country.....Oh yes and the one before that.....you are letting them stuff you again.....Vote any party but the main ones..I prefer UKIP but anyone will do..its the only way they will get the message. They are all so remote from having to fill up their cars and so busy with their airy fairy "agendas" that they have forgotten how to live normal lives....Don,t forget also that Brown, when chancellor, changed the rules so that if you invent an engine that will run on water he can tax it as soon as it gets in the car....his heart must be black and slimy and probably smells like sh*t. His agenda is to change the face of our society, if they can get us all out of cars and into buses, then we decide to protest about something...they just cancel the buses....hang on a min....you mean just like the soviets used to.....remember Brown is an ex Communist who pretends to be reformed...he,s not. And stop apologising for the Rant....its because we don,t rant with guns and things that the *******s keep abusing our wallets, so the least we can do is rant here and wherever else possible. (Oh yes just remembered the socialists made sure they took away our guns didn,t they..far sighted..you betcha...they knew exactly what they were doing.
And for those of you who think fuel protests are a good idea.....they have changed the rules so that the lorry drivers will get their licences revoked, thus losing their livelihoods and they also intend to use the Army to stop any serious blockades.....Tianamen square anybody???

This is all getting a bit silly. Five minutes ago it was just breaking through the £1 barrier. Why has it jumped up 20% so quickly.
Apologies if it sounds like I've been on Mars the last six months...but....
I can remember that it did this years ago when it was £1 a gallon. It took ages to finally break through and then once through it rocketed relatively over night.
(BTW I was in shorts when it was £1 a gallon!)

Fantastic idea, another fuel protest!!!!!!
Then people like me working for the petrol company will suffer, trying to schedule fuel out of the depot's with protestors throwing rocks etc at tankers and staff....I must say wonderful.
I work at the Coryton refinary in Essex, and the protestors are no longer allowed anywhere near the depot after the caos they caused last time.
I do agree that the price of petrol is far to high and we are getting fooked up the ar*e by taxes, but its hardly the staff at ground level fault, and thats who suffer from protests.
We can all moan as much as we like, and i do all the time but at the end of the day they can really charge what they want, where would we all be if we didn't use the fuel? How long would we last if everyone just stopped? If I stopped scheduling the fuel to sites, no fuel for emergency services, no fuel for food to be delivered, no fuel for anyone to go anywhere. How long do you think we would really last???
Plus, since the Buncefield disaster the cost of delivering fuel has gone up for the petrol company, so this extra cost will undoubtedly come back onto the consumer.
I'm not trying to justify why the price is as high as it is, and yes its down to greedy people wanting to make more and more money, but what choice do we really have????

Ah.I wish i had shares in BP!.Or could get my hands on some of 'the red stuff'.......I hear the Saudis,Kuwaiti's etc are increasing production.Hopefully this might at least stop the upward spiral.

I've spoke to a few truckers and asked them when they were going to have another protest.'Not going to happen' was the response.Too many laws been put in place to stop it happening again i.e-removal of haulage licence's etc.Fierce competition from the big boys and foreign haulage companies have put the fear of god into them.Maybe i'll put off buying my Cupra TDI and buy a Ecomotion instead?.

what did surprise me is that i pay 113.9 in shrewsbury tesco and it ws 113.9 in an esso on the 140 about 130 miles about, made feel not so poor for some reason, though have seen 117.9 around oxfordshire over weekend

Average around my way (West Sussex) is 114.9p a ltr Chichester Texaco though takes the piss with a price of 116.9. I bet in London there are some places that are over 130p pl!
When I was in London in feb it was 106.9pl so 2 months down the line its 10p more

You'll find that BP never paid out for the Buncefield disaster because it wasn't their terminal that blew up, it was HOSL across the road, and BP actually claimed off them for loss of earnings etc me thinks!!

Just got back from snowboarding in the Alps where it's 1.80 Euro's per litre. I expect thats because of location etc.
